Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè (/ˈfèzɪ/ /ˈtɘnɘ/ [stupid; dumb; silly] [sale]) is a temperate Large Town located in Greybarrow Dutchy, Yêgècêkêthê Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè was founded by Èlepí Zêyêbêm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè receives an average of 168 cm/y (66 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4204 m (13792 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 13th century in summer of the year 1203, by Èlepí Zêyêbêm. The establishment of Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Èlepí Zêyêbêm pushed on reguardles, and Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious cobblestone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. The boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look around Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè shows Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè is little more than a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is.

Civic Infrastructure

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's parks.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has an Administrative Academy which trains individuals in the administrative arts.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's natural decorations nor waterways.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is skipped in Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè.

The Stag, Emperor near Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Augury energies of tier 3 via recitation of scripture.

Economy

Points of Interest

While private tutelage of worthy apprentices can be had even in most remote villages, Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè is home to a proper school dedicated to teaching magic. Such schools are usually small, with no more than a few dozen pupils, most of whom will fail for lack of talent or discipline. The instructors are rarely first-rate, usually serving only for the pay and status, but sometimes a genius sorcerer will find a reason to observe likely apprentices here. Given the unfortunate accident potential of the school, it’s probably isolated or well-fortified.

Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè's is something of a geological and arcane anomaly, as neither physical nor magical law entirely explains its formation.

POI

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century after an anomalously snowy winter, runoff from snow-melt caused Pond Minong to overflow its banks and spill into Creek Alligator. The resulting flood was isolated to the area around Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè, which was swallowed by the waters for several days. Fèzî-tênê Dêtîkè lost 232 people, 306 livestock, and 60 buildings in the disaster. The disaster is remembered as the Anguish Drownings.

History
